WTG Installation Engineering (2016)
Project description:
The Tamra Offshore Wind Farm, located in the Korean Strait, was developed by Tamra Offshore Wind Power Co., Ltd. The total installed capacity of the wind farm is 30MW, comprising of ten 3MW WTGs manufactured by Doosan Heavy Industries. The WTGs will be installed on 4-leg jacket foundations which will be secured onto the seabed by means of driven piles.
ARC’s scope of work:
CDS has contracted ARC to execute the following scope of work:
•Develop a procedure for the installation of the WTGs;
•Assess crawler crane stability for installation of the WTGs;
•Develop a mooring setup for the WTG transport barges;
•Create lift plans for all WTG components (tower pieces, nacelle, hub, rotor blades).
